Your first session

Open Terminal and sign in with the account provided by your administrator. The statusbar’s connection chip shows which Mainframe you are using. If it is wrong, choose Connect to Mainframe… from that chip or the command palette.

Get oriented

1. Open Fleet and Map from the Panels menu or press ⌘K and search for their names.
2. Select an aircraft in Fleet. The map and selection-following panels update to that aircraft.
3. Open Telemetry to check position, battery, and link information.
4. Open Video. A live camera requires an online publisher and permission to view it.
5. Open Missions and Alerts to see the shared operational intent and outstanding decisions.

On staging, virtual aircraft use callsigns S01–S10 and serials SIM-STG-001–SIM-STG-010. Their missions run continuously once seeded and selected by auto-operator. Real aircraft retain their actual serials and provider identity.

Know which time you are viewing

Live panels follow the current Mainframe state. Drag the Timeline to an earlier moment to enter replay. The workspace then shows positions, telemetry, events, and recorded media at that time. Other operators’ workspaces can remain live.

Return to live with the statusbar’s replay indicator or the live action in Timeline. Commands are disabled in replay; check that you are live before trying to operate an aircraft.

Read unavailable states correctly

An em dash means a value is unavailable, not zero. An offline aircraft can still have retained historical data. Observe only means the connected module reports the aircraft but does not permit ordinary control. A command may also be unavailable because the provider does not support it, you lack access, or another operator holds the control lease.
